Job Summary
The Senior Tech Lead / Programme Manager leads a multi-work stream initiative to modernise and scale the Large Corporate On-boarding process, covering ideation, discovery, feasibility, and POC/RFP phases. The role orchestrates cross-functional squads (business, technology, operations, risk, and vendors), aligns scope and milestones to business outcomes, and drives decision-ready artefacts for governance forums.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Leadership: Provide technical guidance and leadership to the development teams, ensuring the implementation of best practices and innovative solutions.
- Plan & Mobilise: Establish programme charter, roadmap, and stage-gates across ideation → discovery → feasibility → POC/RFP; define success criteria and acceptance metrics.
- Delivery Governance: Run cadence (SteerCo, working groups), maintain RAID and dependency views; ensure timely escalations and decision logs.
- Scope & Requirements: Guide discovery backlogs, facilitate workshops, and converge on prioritised epics/features and definition of done for each phase.
- POC/RFP Orchestration: Shape POC hypotheses, success metrics, and evaluation rubrics; coordinate the RFP pack (use cases, non-functional requirements, scoring model, commercials).
- Risk & Compliance: Identify tech/operational risks, data/privacy considerations, and third-party risks; route to the correct internal control owners.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with key stakeholders, including business units, IT, and external vendors, to ensure alignment and successful delivery of programme objectives.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree in Management, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. A Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g. PMP, Scrum Master) is a plus.
Experience
Minimum of 10 years of experience in technical leadership roles / IT programme management, with a proven track record of delivering complex digital projects.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies (e.g. Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and modern development practices.
- Experience with digital technologies, including web and mobile applications, CRM systems, and cloud platforms.
- Strong technical background in Java development; ability to understand and lead technical discussions.
- Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and familiarity with DevOps practices.
- Clear understanding of enterprise architecture and the ability to guide development teams on technical matters.
- Exposure to React.js or other modern front-end frameworks is a strong plus.
